About This Stamp

The Postal Service issued a $9.95 Eagle Express Mail stamp on June 16, 1991, in Sacramento, California, in conjunction with the beginning of the U.S. Olympic Festival torch run. The Postal Service was a worldwide sponsor of the 1992 Winter and Summer Olympic Games.

The stamps were designed by Ned Seidler and issued in panes of 20. The stamps were printed in the offset/intaglio process by the American Bank Note Company.
