About This Stamp
This Olympic Winter Games stamp commemorates the opening of the Eighth Olympic Winter Games, held in Squaw Valley, California, February 18–29, 1960. The first celebration of the Winter Olympics was held in Chamonix, France, in 1924. They are held every four years. The stamp features the Olympic Rings and a snowflake.
