About This Stamp
This stamp commemorates the 1,000th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity in Poland. Under rule by the Piast Dynasty and Prince Mieszko I, the tribal state of the Polans converted to Christianity and became the Polish state. The stamp features an image of the Polish coat of arms — a white eagle with a crown — and a cross.
