Art in motion
Bursting with energy, the 2012 Heart Health stamp is a vibrant reminder to keep our hearts strong. To bring this message to life, art director Derry Noyes partnered with award-winning artist Nicholas Wilton, an avid runner who understands firsthand the power of movement.
"I was trying to think of when I feel the most healthy, the most alive," Wilton recalls. That inspiration led him to create a bold, lively design using acrylic paint on cardboard.
The artwork is packed with feel-good vibes: a bright yellow sun, lush green trees, and a swirl of blue sky. At the center, a figure strides forward with a bold red heart, radiating strength and vitality. For a little extra encouragement, a red apple sits below — a tasty nudge toward heart-smart eating.
With its vibrant colors and uplifting imagery, this stamp offers a fun, visual call to action to keep moving, eat well, and give our hearts the care they deserve.
